He's Already 2 Months Old!

Time really seems to be flying by here in the Riley household. These last two months are a complete blur and I really can't believe that Nolan's already 2 months old! We've been having so much fun and now we can't seem to remember what we did with all our free time before we had Nolan...how one little guy can really change your world!

Everyone always asks "How's Nolan doing?", so here's a little update:
He's sleeping very well now, taking 3 "catnaps" during the day as well as one long nap. He's also sleeping 4-5 hours a stretch at night now, which means I'm finally getting some sleep:) He loves playing smiling games, while he's perched on my knees. It's quite fun because he actually grins, coos and sometimes even laughs a little.

He's recently become fascinated with his tongue, thus sticking it out, twisting it around and blowing spit bubbles with it. Somehow, this can keep him fairly occupied, which allows me a few minutes to start the laundry, pick up toys, etc.
His favorite toy is a stuffed moose that we call moosey (you can see it in the picture above). It has a squeaker inside it (which surprises me that Sullivan hasn't stolen it in the night and ripped it to shreds), plastic purple antlers (which Nolan likes to chew on) and bells/rattles in each of the hooves. We play with this nearly every awake period that Nolan has, making him follow the colorful hooves from side to side, etc.

He also LOVES bath time. Anytime that he starts to get fussy and doesn't want to calm down, we get the bath tub ready and can be sure that this will get us at least 30 minutes of "happy baby" time. Here's a pictures from his first bath at the cabin this weekend. We used a small tub in the kitchen sink, so things were a little cramped for our growing boy, but he enjoyed it nonetheless. However, I think that the Riley family enjoyed watching it even more than Nolan did, as they were snapping pictures like the paparazzi. Hopefully everyone can enjoy my photo editing job as well:)

Last, but not least, he loves his big brother Sullivan. Nolan follows Sullivan with his eyes when we're laying on the living room floor and even enjoys an occasional kiss from him. Below is a pictures of where I found Sullivan last night when I went to go feed Nolan at 2am...yes, that's Sullivan sleeping in our recliner that's in the nursery. He's a great big brother and really has taken to Nolan (thank God!)

And just like nearly every week so far, I have a favorite picture. This one's of Nolan with his Uncle Greg. As you can see, Nolan's just grinning away and having a great time playing with him! We're so lucky to have an amazing family surrounding us here in Phoenix, and to have such doting Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles to help us raise our little guy.

Nolan is all grown up! Tell him I will pay him if he can drive over to Starbucks and drop off a latte. Ha! You are both incredible parents! Sullivan is a super big brother!
