AJ's 2nd Birthday Party

Nolan has always enjoyed bath time (in fact we use the bath to calm him down when he gets super-upset), but we weren't sure whether he'd love to swim. Well, this past week we had the chance to give it a try at AJ's 2nd birthday party. There were tons of families there to celebrate and we had yummy cupcakes (I think I had 4!!). Nolan was unsure of the water at first, as it was fairly cold compared to his warm bath tub, but he ended up having a great time floating around and sitting on my lap in the shallow area. The best part - he slept for a great part of the afternoon since he was so tired from swimming! And, check out his cool swim-shorts. Only his little feet poke out the bottom of them because they are more like pants since they are 12 month size. Apparently they don't make 3-6 month swimmers for babies:)

Here is a cute picture of Amy, Jackie & I with some of our babies. I tried to get a picture of AJ since it was his birthday, but he is one very active child and barely stands still for pictures. AJ is also an amazing swimmer (you can check out a cool video of him swimming on Amy's blog - http://pricespress.blogspot.com/) and at just 2 years old he can jump in, swim around and then pull himself back out of the pool...all without the help of an adult. Hopefully, Nolan will be as good of a water kid as AJ is.

Lastly, my favorite pictures of the day. Andrew & Brian are always up to something and this day was no different. They decided that even though they are 30 years old, they should give the 3M board a try and do some tricks to impress the young kids. Well, if you can focus in on the picture below, Brian & Andrew are in line at the high dive and a 3 year old girl is about to jump off the board...I guess she showed them:)

And here is Brian's dive off the high-dive. While Nolan can't appreciate this now, I'm sure Brian will step up to the challenge and do this all over again when Nolan's ready to take the plunge from the high-dive!

Ha ha ha, I'm so sorry we missed the diving extravaganza! I'm thinking Olympics 2012?!?!
