Nolan's First Cold...Or is it Teething?!?!

These last two weeks have been kind of crazy around the Riley household. I've been super-busy trying to cross everything off the to-do list that I made with the intention of completing everything during my maternity leave. Little did I know that 5 1/2 months could fly by so quickly. Needless to say, many things have been removed from that to-do list (note that I did not say "crossed off" or "completed") because I just can't find the time and I really want to just hang with Nolan as much as possible.

Anyways, Nolan has had quite a runny nose the last two weeks, causing me to cancel most of our play-dates and just spend some good quality time with him. I couldn't complain because it was really nice to stay in my PJ's for most of the day:) Well, after about 10 days of a runny nose, congestion and interrupted nighttime sleep, Nolan sprouted his first tooth!!! I really couldn't believe it at first because it seems like he's been teething for months (on account of all the drool he produces!) and I just thought he wouldn't get them this early. Needless to say, I was quite relieved that he wasn't sick but it really is tough to see him in so much pain. I'll try to snap a picture of the little nub poking through his gums, but won't promise anything soon because he's quite sensitive around his mouth and will barely let me pull back his lip to look.

He still smiles a ton, but is easily upset and is definitely cuddling more than normal...something Brian & I don't mind at all!
