Annual Pie Baking

One of the Riley Family traditions (there are quite a few!) is to get together the evening before Thanksgiving and make pies together. This tradition started when the kids were little and has grown into a beloved event through the years, mostly because of the party attitude that Pappa T's sister, Aunt Pin, would bring to the event. Now that all the "kids" are adults, it's a nice way to get together and enjoy each other's company, make pie for the big day and partake in a few beverages.

Those of you who know the Riley family, know that they are the most welcoming and generous family around...I couldn't ask for a better family to marry into. Each year, the invitation is always extended to out-of-towners or people that don't have family in Phoenix, and a couple of times we've had takers. This year, we had some of my friends from work join us...hopefully we didn't scar them for life:)

Nolan definitely enjoyed his first Pie Baking experience. His aunts & uncles split their time between baking their pies and playing with him...as long as he's the center of attention, he's happy:)And my favorite picture of the week - Aunt Megan and Nolan. Nolan spent the day with Aunt Megan and Uncle Greg while Brian and I worked (no vacation time left for me!). We are so lucky to have family close-by that is willing to help us out!
