This past weekend, we made a trip up to the cabin in Oak Creek. As usual, it was wonderful to get out of the heat here in Phoenix and enjoy the lazy days that the cabin brings. The weather was AWESOME and on Sunday we even had an entire day of thunderstorms...this meant that we were all forced to stay inside, cuddle up with a good book (and Nolan) and take some naps!
Another great celebration occurred this weekend too - 4 years ago, Brian proposed to me atop Thomas Point, a hike that is just across the highway from the cabin. Each year since Brian proposed, over Labor Day weekend, we make a jaunt up this hike and enjoy the breath-taking views. This year, we got to take Nolan with us....here are pictures from the day Brian proposed 4 years ago, as well as our hike this past weekend:) I am extremely lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful man as my husband and father to our son...I love you sweetie!Nolan enjoyed the hike and spent most of the time staring straight up at the pine trees - I guess he was amazed at all the "green" since everything here in the valley is brown!
And of course, Nolan enjoyed some great time in the kitchen sink getting bathed - I swear, he smiles the most when he's in the water!
