7 months old already

My baby is all grown up! I can't even pinpoint when it started happening, but I just look down at this little boy and can't even remember how tiny he was when we first brought him home. I have to say that the last couple of weeks have been the most fun so far. Nolan's growing so rapidly and is developing such a cute personality. His smile lights up my day and can make everything that is stressful and unhappy just melt away.

Here are my top 10 favorite things about him at this age:
(1) He smiles when Brian walks into the living room after a long day of work - it completely melts my heart.
(2) His little smile is no longer gums, but mostly teeth as he now has 6 of them.
(3) He loves the sound of his own voice and constantly uses it. Mostly to just jibber-jabber, but he really enjoys high-pitched screaming and saying "dada" over and over. I'm convinced that he knows he's talking about Brian, but Brian's isn't quite so convinced.
(4) He's sleeping through the night again, after a 4 week stint of 2am wake-up calls...thank God!

(5) He no longer needs to be bounced on the exercise ball to fall asleep. We now just turn off the lights in his room and sit in the rocking chair for two minutes with him and he's fast asleep.
(6) We've started feeding him solid food and he's really enjoying it. He grunts and pants when we set him in his high-chair because he knows whats coming!
(7) He sits up completely on his own and has incredible core strength (or just a really fat mid-section) because he can nearly topple over and right himself again without using his hands.
(8) He frequently moves himself from the crawling position to the sitting position and back again. We're still working on crawling forwards, but he can scoot backwards so quickly that you have to keep a close eye on him.
(9) His favorite toys are the jumparoo (he can really get going in it!), his tissue-paper book, an empty airborne tube and his metal toolbox
(10) He's fascinated with texture - especially that of his big brother Sullivan's fur. Thankfully Sullivan is patient with him and just enjoys the attention...even though it means Nolan tugging on his fur.
(11) He's practically outgrown his infant/toddler bathtub and frequently just sits in the big tub all by himself (with us right there to catch him when he topples over).
(12) He loves to pull on the necklace (he loves diamonds just as much as I do:)) I wear everyday and loves any sort of jewelry, especially the bracelets that Momma K wears.
(13) Last but not least...he reaches out his arms to me when I walk into the room or pick him up from Miss Sue's house and gives me a giant hug when I pick him up. This brings tears of joy to my eyes every single time. He is really such a cuddler and I absolutely love it.
