One of the many Riley family traditions is to celebrate your 1/2 birthday with cupcakes. Even though Nolan is too young to appreciate this sort of tradition (he can't eat a cupcake yet and really doesn't understand what a present is, other than super-fun paper he wants to chew on!) I decided we still had to uphold it. So on Thursday night we made 3 dozen cupcakes to take on our annual Christmas Tree Cutting trip for Nolan's 1/2 birthday on Saturday.
We had so much fun baking together. Nolan enjoyed playing with the tubs of frosting and sitting on the island helping me mix the batter together. Here are some of my favorite shots from the night.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! You could just eat up you little guy in addition to your cupcakes!!! He is SUPER SWEET!!!
