A Week with Nana

Thank God for Mothers! This week, my mom came to visit from Missouri, and somehow the big man upstairs knew this was going to be the week that we (I) needed help. Her first night here, Nolan gave us a run for our money, with a near straight 14 hours of crying. Needless to say, my mom (Nana) was a Godsend, helping both Brian & I cope with an screaming baby that was not able to be consoled! Thankfully, we haven't had to deal with another night like that one, but I don't know that we'd have made it through Saturday night in one piece if it wasn't for Nana.

As you can see from the pictures, Nolan instantly took a liking to her (he must know that she's going to spoil him rotten) and it was really difficult for Brian or I to get a chance to hold him all week long. She even wanted to take the not-so-glorious jobs of burping & diaper changing...which we, of course, welcomed.

We also had some visitors that got to meet Nolan for the first time - his cousin Kiki (which is really his 2nd cousin once removed I think) and his Great Uncle Tim. We had a great time visiting with them and are so glad they had the time to meet our little guy!
